Post NTFS3G-2009.04.04 poor writing performance test versus FAT32
RAM : 256Mb
PureOsLight beta1 liveCD (NTFS-3G 2009.04.04)
An external USB disk of 1000Gb, partitioned in 500Gb FAT32 and 500Gb NTFS, let's call this disk "usb1T".

Test1 : FAT32 to USB FAT32 & NTFS.
1128 files & directory in 1.9Gb stored on a FAT32 internal HDD; largest is 81Mb, 10th largest is 9.5Mb.
Files are in English or French character set.

Copy them onto usb1T.

Result : the time to copy onto the NTFS partition is 2.5 longer.

Test2: a DVD stored onto an external USB NTFS partitioned HDD(300Gb) to copy to usb1T.

Result : the time to copy to the NTFS partition is 695/420=1.65 longer.
