This week Helsinki was hosting Slush, a leading startup conference in Northern Europe, Russia and beyond. Now it brought more than six thousand participants with happenings at 4 different stages and 148 different demo booths over two days. Tuxera team participated in the first day of the event, showcasing just launched Streambels – an AirPlay & DLNA media streaming app for Android. Our demo booth caught a lot of interest among the visitors. We were streaming videos, music and photos while explaining everything about the application.

It turned out to be so catchy that some of the people decided to download the app on the spot or share the news on Twitter. At the same time we managed to get a lot of insight what other features we should look into. All in all, great event!

This weekend (15th till 17th of November) we are sponsoring and participating in the first ever, Music Hack Day in Helsinki. It’s a music hackathon organized by Aaltoes and sponsored by SpotifySoundCloud and The Echo NestMicrosoft and of course Tuxera. This international event brings together developers, designers and artists to work on the future of music. We are there this Sunday, talking about and showcasing Streambels. Come around and check it out!

You can download Streambels on the Google Play and enjoy effortless media streaming. Don’t miss out on two reviews posted recently on Lifehacker and mobile Fomo.
