AllConnect

We’re saying goodbye to the AllConnect streaming app

Our AllConnect streaming app had many great successes over the years. It was downloaded over ten million times and used actively by over a million users across all platforms. We were a CES Innovation Award Honoree with AllConnect in 2017. The development work that went into AllConnect was high-quality and we stand by the excellence of this outstanding technology.

That said, after long consideration and reflecting on our company strategy, Tuxera has decided to stop development of our AllConnect technology. We have also removed AllConnect Android and iOS applications from their respective stores.

At this time we’d like to thank the millions of users that downloaded and used AllConnect. Thank you for all the great feedback you gave us to develop and improve our app and for making it such a great success!

All the best,

The Tuxera team

e.solutions Selects Tuxera exFAT for Audi and Volkswagen Infotainment Systems

Deployed in High-End Audi and Volkswagen Infotainment Systems

Helsinki, Finland --September 5, 2012-- Tuxera Inc., today announced that e.solutions GmbH, a joint venture of Audi and Elektrobit, has selected Tuxera exFAT to power its high-end car infotainment software suite on the popular QNX/ARM platform. Shipping has started with the new Audi A3.

The goal of e.solutions is to provide an infotainment software suite to increase reuse of software for in-vehicle infotainment and to drive innovations. The company is developing technology for a new multimedia platform that provides a longer menu of infotainment options while reducing driver distraction. The all-new Audi A3 is the first car with e.solutions' software suite included.

Tuxera offers exFAT, NTFS and FAT solutions, which bring seamless and reliable support for SD/SDXC memory cards and USB storages for any in-vehicle infotainment system. Tuxera exFAT, NTFS and FAT have been successfully integrated and tested on the most popular infotainment software platforms including Android, Linux, QNX and Windows Embedded Automotive. Main drivers for Tuxera's solutions:

  • Tuxera exFAT is needed to support the high-capacity SDXC memory card standard and exFAT-formatted USB storages. Music, pictures, videos and other media, as well as maps and other navigation data, are increasingly stored and distributed on 64GB and larger-size SDXC memory cards.
  • Tuxera NTFS is needed to support Windows NTFS-formatted USB hard drives, memory sticks and other portable storages where consumers usually store music and other media. Most USB hard drives are NTFS formatted.
  • Tuxera FAT is needed to improve FAT32 and other FAT-formatted storage performance, reliability and interoperability from the baseline. SD and SDHC cards, as well as most USB memory sticks, are FAT-formatted.

"Connectivity has become a key driver in car infotainment and Tuxera is an ideal partner to bring new connectivity innovations to the market. Tuxera's solutions answer to the demand for SDXC support. Tuxera's in-depth file system expertise has helped us with seamless integration of full exFAT support on our QNX/ARM platform for the recently launched and upcoming car models within the Volkswagen Group," said Uwe Reder, Managing Director of e.solutions GmbH.

"We are excited to work together with e.solutions and its platform partners to bring seamless media connectivity to Volkswagen Group premium cars. Optimized XFS Delivers Faster NAS Performance on Marvell ARM-based SoCs

SANTA CLARA, Calif. <January 10, 2012> Marvell (Nasdaq: MRVL), a worldwide leader in integrated silicon solutions, and Tuxera Inc., the leading provider of Windows and Mac compatible file systems for Android, Linux and other platforms, today announced the industry’s fastest full-featured NAS solution. Built on the Marvell® Kirkwood® and ARMADA® chipsets, Tuxera’s optimized XFS and NTFS technology offers superior performance compared to competing Linux solutions.

Marvell and Tuxera’s joint solution is designed to reduce overall development cost and enable faster time to market for customers’ NAS platforms. The achieved gains in speed enable a new generation of NAS applications that offer a seamless user experience – as well as full portability across NTFS and other storage formats. The solution marks a significant breakthrough as consumers and businesses seek more efficient means to store and serve volumes of data and multimedia files across networked devices.

“Our collaboration with Tuxera, who delivers industry-leading file system solutions for NAS, reinforces Marvell’s leadership and commitment to breaking barriers in the storage space,” said Paul Valentine, vice president of marketing for the Enterprise Business Unit at Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. “We understand performance is paramount for NAS customers, and we believe features such as file system optimizations – combined with both companies’ reputations for quality and support – place Marvell and Tuxera well ahead of the competition.”

"Tuxera is pleased to integrate XFS and NTFS technology with Marvell's market-leading application processors,” said Mikko Välimäki, CEO of Tuxera. “Over the past year, Tuxera's experts in XFS, ARM, network, Samba and performance tuning have worked diligently with Marvell engineers to reach a new industry record in speed.
