Steffan brings a wealth of global leadership experience across multiple industries, having held senior executive roles at leading technology companies such as Microsoft, Efecte, Solteq, and Citrix. Most recently, Steffan served as Senior Vice President of Business Operations at QT Group, where he played a key role in shaping and executing the company’s strategic growth initiatives. With deep expertise in business operations, sales leadership, and strategic transformation, Steffan is a proven leader committed to delivering impactful results and driving business success across global markets.
Jonas joined the company in 2019. Before Tuxera he worked several years in investment banking at Evli Bank, focusing on M&A and equity capital market transactions. In addition, he has also worked with various business development and strategy questions as a management consultant at EY. He holds a M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from Hanken School of Economics.
Antti joined the company in late 2021 to lead the Tuxera Enterprise Business Unit and support the needs of the world’s rapidly expanding enterprise cloud storage market. Before Tuxera, he worked for 15 years in Microsoft as Azure Business Group Lead. In that role, he executed the market development of Microsoft Azure business in Finland, from its early beginnings all the way to its position as a leading cloud platform. Antti has also worked with various customers as Lead Technical Architect, helping large enterprises in their digitalization journey.
Marko joined Tuxera in early 2023, bringing to the company a decade of experience in building and scaling world-class product and service businesses. He has an extensive background in the embedded software industry, and has held key product and service leadership positions at Vaisala, Qt Group, and F-Secure. Marko holds a B.Sc. in Engineering from Oulu University of Applied Sciences.
Merja joined Tuxera in August 2025 as Vice President of Marketing, leading global brand and marketing strategy. With nearly 20 years of experience in B2B marketing, including technology and cybersecurity, she is known for building high-performing teams and delivering go-to-market strategies that connect customer needs with company strengths. Before Tuxera, she was Head of Global Marketing at WithSecure, where she focused on the Cloud Protection for Salesforce business. An advocate of marketing innovation, brand leadership, and performance excellence, her goal at Tuxera is to support the company’s growth journey and lay the foundation for an innovative, AI-driven approach to marketing.
Karoliina joined Tuxera in 2025 and leads the People and Culture function supporting the company’s growth and scaling journey. She has more than 15 years of experience shaping people strategies in global technology and energy companies, ranging from large established corporations to fast growing start-up environments. Before joining Tuxera, she was Chief Human Resources Officer at the green technology company Coolbrook, and prior to that held several senior HR leadership roles at Fortum. Earlier in her career, she worked as a strategy consultant, focusing on large-scale transformations and leading change across global organisations. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration.
Aleksina joined Tuxera in October 2025 as Vice President of Global Sales & Strategy. She brings extensive commercial, strategic and technical expertise to the company. She has previously held strategic management positions at organisations such as Qt Group, Zalando, Ingram Micro and OP Group. Aleksina has extensive experience in driving change and scaling operations through strategic focus, operational excellence and close customer engagement. Having a background in embedded systems and automation technology, she is also excited about Tuxera’s technology and innovation in embedded and enterprise storage.
Szabolcs Szakacsits leads Tuxera Corporate Ventures, focusing on strategic investments, partnerships, and acquisitions. As Founder and former President & CTO of Tuxera, he played a central role in building the company into a global leader in embedded and enterprise storage software. Szabolcs is also a dedicated angel investor and philanthropist, recognized as Philanthropist of the Year by Forbes Hungary and Bridge Budapest, and is an Honorary Citizen of his hometown, Nagykanizsa. A seasoned entrepreneur and technology innovator, Szabolcs launched his first software company in 1996, specializing in Linux and Internet technologies. He later worked on a computer game for Ernő Rubik, the inventor of the Rubik’s Cube. In 2008, he founded Tuxera, transforming an open-source project he had been leading into a successful international business. Prior to Tuxera, he held engineering and consultancy roles at F-Secure and Ericsson. Szabolcs is also an active angel investor, with a growing portfolio of over thirty startups, and with a strong focus on impact and deep tech. His experience as both founder and investor uniquely positions him to lead Tuxera’s expansion and innovation through corporate venture initiatives. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Szeged, Hungary.
Heikki Mäkijärvi is a seasoned technology investor with a strong corporate background. He has demonstrated a successful track record in activities around global technology start-ups including investing, guiding, and facilitating exits. Heikki has contributed significantly to prominent rate venture capital operations at Cisco Investment, T-Venture at Deutsche Telekom, Airbus Ventures, and Telia Ventures. He possesses extensive corporate expertise in engineering, strategic partnering, and business development as demonstrated in his leadership roles at Nokia, Cisco, Openway, and Deutsche Telekom. Heikki has served as a Board Member for several publicly listed technology companies in Finland: Digia, Comptel, DNA, and Teleste (since 2018). Additionally, Heikki has served on several start-up company boards in Europe, Israel, and USA. A native of Finland, Heikki earned a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in Helsinki University of Technology (a.k.a. Aalto University).
Rytilä is an accomplished senior executive with a record of success and vision for driving business growth and impacting change at scale in large global technology companies. Tuula’s leadership value extends to Board of Director roles, consulting on tech innovation, expansion, management change, and transformation. In 2019, Tuula became a member of Bang & Olufsen’s Board and has served as their Technology Committee Chair since summer 2022. In April 2023, she assumed a Board of Director role at the Breville Group Ltd. There, Tuula has focused on geographic and product portfolio expansion and enhancing their global digital ecosystem capabilities. In August 2023, Tuula assumed her first Board Director role in a Finnish publicly traded company Kempower Oyj – a growth company providing electric vehicle charging solutions globally. She is a member of their Renumeration and Nomination Committee. Tuula has also a board role with the Finnish startup eBrands to help scale their business and organization. In her corporate capacity, Tuula was most recently Vice President at Microsoft (2014-2023), where in her last role she built and managed their e-commerce business and the supporting tech platforms. Tuula’s tech career started in 1999 at Nokia (1999-2014), her last position being their global CMO. A native of Finland, Tuula earned a M.Sc. in Economics from the Helsinki School of Economics and studied abroad in Canada and Russia.
