Helsinki, Finland, November 2, 2026. Tuxera, a global leader in quality-assured data storage management and networking software, will demonstrate how its award-winning Tuxera Fusion platform can support demanding cloud, AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and enterprise workloads at SC26.
Worldwide spending on AI infrastructure reached $318 billion in 2025, more than double the previous year, and IDC forecasts it will rise to $497 billion in 2026. However, if file services cannot feed data fast enough, expensive AI and HPC resources can be left waiting, increasing processing times and infrastructure costs.
At SC26, Tuxera will showcase Fusion SMB and Fusion NFS as part of its multi-protocol Fusion platform. When both protocols are used, multi-protocol locks, handles and permissions are automatically enabled, allowing NFS and SMB users to work securely with the same data while reducing duplication, storage silos and management complexity. The demonstration will show how this software-defined approach can help organizations support growing workloads while gaining more performance and capacity from existing infrastructure.
“Organizations are investing heavily in compute and networking infrastructure to support AI and HPC, but this investment can only deliver its full value if the file-sharing layer keeps pace,” said Ned Pyle, CTO Enterprise Storage at Tuxera. “At SC26, we will showcase how bringing high-performance SMB and NFS together can help organizations remove data bottlenecks, improve infrastructure efficiency and provide reliable access to the same data across different environments.”
Fusion NFS enables storage vendors, systems integrators and cloud providers to add enterprise-grade NFS to their offerings without developing and maintaining the technology internally, providing a faster route to market. In Tuxera benchmark testing, Fusion NFS achieved throughput of 22.7 GB/s using a single 200 GbE network port, delivering twice the throughput of NFS-Ganesha and outperforming Linux NFSD.
Fusion NFS can be deployed across clusters, containers, cloud infrastructure, virtual machines and single servers. This gives organizations the flexibility to use their preferred hardware and architecture while gaining greater performance from infrastructure they already own. Continuous availability, transparent failover and rolling upgrades help maintain access to critical data as services are scaled, maintained and updated.
Fusion NFS will be available from 16 November 2026. Visitors can see Tuxera Fusion at booth 2007 during the SC26 exhibition in Chicago from 17 to 19 November. Tuxera will also co-host a happy hour with IBM on Tuesday, 17 November, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at its booth and IBM’s booth (1806).
