Press Release January 10, 2010 Tuxera NTFS for Windows CE Announced Targets Especially In-vehicle Infotainment Systems LAS VEGAS, UNITED STATES: Microsoft Windows CE has not supported the default Windows file system NTFS so far. The solution is here. Tuxera is the first company to develop an NTFS file system for Windows CE. The new product is offered to consumer electronics and car manufacturers who run Windows CE and need to communicate with Windows PCs or external hard disk drives. Tuxera CTO Szabolcs Szakacsits comments: “Tuxera NTFS for Windows CE is our answer to the growing demand to support NTFS on embedded Windows systems. The new product is based on our widely deployed open source NTFS-3G driver developed during the last ten years. We are offering essentially the best reliability you can get.” Tuxera CEO Mikko Välimäki adds: “When we were first asked about NTFS support for Windows CE, I can honestly say we were puzzled. This week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas we have become convinced that this was the right decision. There is an actual need, which we can solve today. I am thus happy to announce the market-leading Tuxera NTFS for Windows CE.”
