Leuze is an international sensor expert for automation technology. They needed a way to ensure reliability without compromising the speed of their production and operational processes for their bar code positioning system. FBPS series represents the world’s first safety bar code positioning system developed by Leuze that requires just a single sensor for safe position detection. This system meets the industry’s highest safety level standard, Performance Level e (PLe) and improves the efficiency and speed of warehouse pick and place operations.
Leuze was looking for a way to increase production efficiency and minimize production times – while maintaining continuity in their established workflows.

On top of the technical aspects, Tuxera also helped them overcome their concerns about integrating and licensing third-party software. Using a third-party PC-based tool for file system image generation, Leuze integrated Tuxera software into their automated firmware build process, without requiring specific hardware dependencies. This allows Leuze to save up to one minute of production time per device, streamlining the production process and avoiding delays.
