Tuxera and IDEATEC partner to connect enterprise data access with AI-driven business execution

Tuxera has signed a strategic partnership with IDEATEC, a Korean provider of AI connectivity and execution platforms. The two companies will build a joint “Data-to-Action” model that links enterprise data access and AI to secure business execution. The signing took place at IDEATEC’s headquarters in Seocho-dong, Seoul, on September 9, 2026.

Tuxera CTO Ned Pyle attended alongside Tuxera Korea Country Manager Bill Woong-sik Woo, with IDEATEC CEO Jung-soo Lee and CMO Lucy Lee. Pyle spent 20 years at Microsoft working on data and file systems, and joined the discussion on where the two companies can take the collaboration next.

The partnership is structured around three layers: data, intelligence, and action. Tuxera provides the access layer for large volumes of unstructured enterprise file data. AI partners handle the intelligence layer through retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), large language models (LLMs), vision-language models (VLMs), and AI agents. IDEATEC provides the action layer, connecting AI decisions to enterprise operations and governing how they run, through its AI Gateway, MCP, APIs, and an integration runtime.

Tuxera Fusion sits at the data access layer, giving AI workloads fast, reliable access to enterprise file data: documents, images, logs, reports, and AI datasets. IDEATEC AX iPaaS connects AI agents with ERP, CRM, MES, databases, SaaS applications, and legacy systems through APIs and MCP. It also covers workflow execution, service orchestration, policy enforcement, security, monitoring, and auditing.

The two companies are not starting from the assumption that Tuxera and AX iPaaS have to be wired together through a dedicated proprietary connector. Their first step is to validate a joint reference architecture that sets out the role and technical boundaries of each layer, built around standard file access interfaces and AI runtime environments.

Fusion SMB delivers high-performance file access across Linux-based data platforms and a range of client environments, for workloads that depend on fast access to large volumes of unstructured data. IDEATEC AX iPaaS is an enterprise AI connectivity and governed action platform that turns AI decisions into enterprise actions, with an AI/API Gateway and built-in security, monitoring, and audit tools.

The work will run in phases, starting with technical validation. The first phase tests the interoperability of a joint reference architecture combining Fusion SMB, Kubernetes, and RAG and LLM environments with IDEATEC’s AI Gateway, MCP, and AX iPaaS. Depending on the results, the two companies plan to package a joint solution and take it to market together.
