Enakta Labs is a London startup founded in 2023. It was a founding member of the DAOS Foundation and commercializes DAOS, the open-source storage system behind many of the top IO500 submissions. The Enakta platform handles DAOS lifecycle management, deployment and integration rather than reinventing the engine.

Enakta describes its platform as the fastest built on DAOS, with more than 270 GB/s per client on standard NVMe and managed deployment from bare metal. Enterprise customers running DAOS also need standards-based file access for Windows, macOS and Linux clients. Fusion SMB and Fusion NFS add a commercially supported, high-performance protocol layer that keeps pace with DAOS-based systems.
